Dawn has nearly five years experience in two industries: recruiting and financial services. Prior to entering Boston University’s doctoral program, she was employed as a financial recruiter based out of Boston and San Jose, California.
As a recruiter, Dawn collaborated with clients in diverse industries-e.g., software, food, retail, and financial services-to locate and hire employees for their respective accounting and finance departments. During that time, Dawn doubled productivity (measured in billings) each year she worked there. Likewise, Dawn consulted hundreds of job seekers on matters such as interviewing techniques, cover letter and resume writing, and salary negotiations. These experiences have given Dawn a unique vantage point into the hiring process within organizations. Each year of her employment, she doubled her yearly billings. Upon graduating from California State University at Chico, Dawn began her career in a management training program with Transamerica Financial Services. Her responsibilities included maintaining relationships with clients with existing personal, automobile, and mortgage loans, overseeing appropriate documentation on loans, and managing accounts receivable portfolio. Recently, Dawn help co-found the website (GrammerLogues.com).
